Your Camping Club Le Trianon, an exceptional setting in Les Sables d’Olonne
For your next holiday, MS Vacances invites you to discover the beautiful seaside resort of Les Sables d’Olonne in Vendée by staying at campsite Club MS Le Trianon, a 5-star campsite renowned for its quality and welcoming atmosphere. This iconic town, best known as the starting point of the legendary Vendée Globe sailing race, will charm you with its hidden gems, from the salt marshes and the fishing harbour to the Puits d’Enfer and Île Penotte (which is not actually an island).
Discover the Vendée coastline from campsite Le Trianon
Come and experience the true Vendée coastline: the land of long-distance sailors, sardine fishermen singing on the harbour, and spectacular Atlantic sunsets painting the sky in shades of red and gold. Welcome to Club MS Le Trianon, where holidays are filled with the fresh sea air and the scent of maritime pines. Staying at campsite Le Trianon in Vendée means enjoying an authentic seaside escape in a preserved natural environment.
Les Sables d’Olonne, much more than a postcard
Locals affectionately call it “Les Sables”, and the name fits perfectly. Three kilometres of fine, golden sand stretch in a graceful arc from the Promenade du Remblai to Sauveterre Beach. Even if you have never been here before, the name will sound familiar: every four years, in November, the whole world watches the jetty from which the skippers of the Vendée Globe set off on their extraordinary solo round-the-world race. Imagine spending around 80 days alone at sea, facing 15-metre waves in the Southern Ocean.
Between races, maritime life continues to thrive. Fishing trawlers unload sea bass, sole and turbot at the harbour, while the early-morning fish auction comes alive around 7 a.m. Local restaurateurs select the freshest catch, which often ends up on your plate the very same evening.
While the Saint-Nicolas Priory is undoubtedly one of the highlights of Les Sables d’Olonne, visitors also enjoy the Musée de la Mer, the Blockhaus Hospital Museum, Notre-Dame de Bon-Port Church and Saint-Pierre Church. From campsite Le Trianon in Les Sables d’Olonne, you can also visit the local zoo, discover the Barges Lighthouse, explore the dramatic cliffs of the Puits d’Enfer, wander through the peaceful Olonne State Forest or enjoy scenic walks in the Marais d’Olonne.
And then there is Île Penotte, a former fishermen’s district where house façades are entirely decorated with seashells. Artist Danièle Arnaud-Aubin began this unique project in the 1960s, and today more than 150 houses sparkle in the sunlight, forming stunning marine mosaics depicting boats, mermaids, sea gods and anchors. Children love this life-sized treasure hunt through the narrow streets.
In the same region, MS Vacances also welcomes you to Camping Club Les Brunelles 5-star, set in an enchanting environment near Longeville-sur-Mer.
The free shuttle that makes life easier
In July and August, a private shuttle service runs from Sunday to Friday. In just fifteen minutes, it takes you to the main beach and the town centre. “The shuttle idea is excellent for getting to the town centre and the beach,” says one holidaying family. No need to search for a parking space in Les Sables d’Olonne, which can be a real challenge during peak season.
In addition to regular journeys throughout the day, every Monday evening the shuttle drops you off at the harbour’s night market and picks you up later. This is where the atmosphere truly comes alive: 200 stalls, the irresistible smell of freshly grilled sardines, préfou (a traditional Vendée flatbread with garlic and salted butter), mogettes beans cooked with Vendée ham, and plenty of local specialities to enjoy.
Back to the high-end campsite Le Trianon 5-star
Choosing a campsite in Les Sables d’Olonne allows you to explore the town and its surroundings with ease, and campsite Le Trianon is without doubt one of the best places to return to after a day of discovery.
Cottages where you instantly feel at home
Forget the outdated image of mobile homes squeezed between noisy neighbours. At campsite Club MS Le Trianon, we have chosen modern, spacious and airy cottages that truly make a difference. Large sliding glass doors flood the living area with natural light, a comfortable 160 x 200 double bed awaits you, and clever storage solutions are found throughout. “Very clean, comfortable and spacious accommodation with a large terrace, and even a small dishwasher,” says Caro from Mulhouse on Tripadvisor.
Some mobile homes, such as the Otello Livia Signature & Spa, go even further with a summer kitchen on the covered terrace, complete with worktop, sink, fridge and gas plancha. Meals and aperitifs are enjoyed outdoors, and you only head inside to sleep. A private jacuzzi allows you to unwind in the evening, as temperatures cool and a gentle breeze rustles through the trees.
Our water park, where parents rediscover their inner child
“The water park is absolutely amazing, the children didn’t want to leave,” writes Cédric, and it is easy to see why. Heated throughout the season, it combines thrills and relaxation. The “Wave”, our inflatable ring slide rising to 11 metres, guarantees screams of excitement at every descent. The “Space Hole” draws you into a tunnel with lighting effects before spinning you around, while the multi-lane slides invite fun family races. Younger children love the water play area with its adapted slides and giant tipping bucket, releasing cascades of water and endless laughter.
An indoor pool features a walking river, a shoulder-relaxing waterfall and swan-neck jets for neck massage. “My wife spent an hour a day on the anatomical benches and completely forgot about her back pain,” says Laurent.
The Bulle Dô, our best-kept secret
A word of warning: once you experience the Bulle Dô, you may never want to leave. This spa area, located within the water park, includes:
- – a salt cave to relieve stress and fatigue
- – a sauna to eliminate toxins
- – a sensory shower for deep relaxation
- – a Nordic bucket to stimulate circulation
- – a steam room to relax muscles
- – a herbal tea lounge to enjoy a hot drink or a sweet treat
Access is reserved for adults, because you truly deserve a moment just for yourself. Do not forget to try our full wellness area as well, offering hairdressing, massages, reflexology and beauty treatments.
Belito Club and happiness for the whole family
Our enclosed Belito Club welcomes children aged 4 to 13 in a world designed especially for them. Our activity leaders organise cooking workshops, large-scale games and shows with your children. “The children loved it, very family-friendly, and the animation team was fantastic,” says one mother.
The teenagers’ club for ages 14 to 17 runs from Monday to Friday, with beach volleyball tournaments, video clip creation, karting outings, surf sessions at Tanchet Beach and many other enriching activities.
Beyond children’s entertainment, campsite Le Trianon in Les Sables d’Olonne offers aquabike sessions, pétanque tournaments, archery, fitness classes with a coach from 30 June to 29 August, as well as evening entertainment including shows, magic, hypnosis, karaoke and dance nights. The foam party is especially popular with teenagers, who leave soaked but laughing. “Very good campsite with great entertainment and an excellent team. We can’t wait to come back next year for another fantastic holiday,” confirms Erwan on Tripadvisor.
At campsite Le Trianon in Vendée, we work every day to make sure your holidays truly feel like holidays: a time to switch off, laugh, and create memories that last for years, the kind you still talk about at work in the middle of January. The real ones. “This is our ninth year at Le Trianon, always excellent on every level, and each year we see improvements,” says Chantal. Nine years of loyalty do not happen by chance.
And that is exactly what we aim for: that you leave thinking, “Next year, we are coming back.” Book your stay now at campsite Club MS Le Trianon 5-star.
