The Seaplane Museum is another local must. It is located on the site of an old air base for transatlantic seaplanes, right by Biscarrosse Pond. And for good reason: hundreds of these planes took off from this town, with some of the routes going as far as the West Indies or North America. The museum is exceedingly well staged. It is varied and well documented, in a way that allows visitors to relive these aerial adventure through photos, videos and other documents.
